Optimising Packaging 2
Whilst trying to re-find the previous program I was using to optimising plank cutting, I stumble upon another program namely: Opticutter
This program offers some advantages over the previous program I was using. It doesn’t have a maximum amount of cut you can use per setting, and the UI design is much better, also you don’t have to download this program. As this is a website, I use google chrome to make it an “app“. A google desktop shortcut when open, opens up like an app.
However, the disadvantage of this program which I have been chasing for is that I can’t add more than one more material planks for my cuts. This could be solve with more than one cutting plan. But this is tedious, but something I can live with.
