Ideation

The problems with couple of ideas are that drawers are hard to make. But, damn are the verticals drawers cool, a real demonstration of worksmanship.

Process

After this project, I definitely understand how annoying it is to make a pegboard now.

Problem

I have made the plastics parts with way too little attachment point because I didn’t want to print as little overhang as I can. Hence, is sagging like that. Need to improve on those.

How is it use

For the space that we are in, which is small and any free space is highly appreciated. The R2D2 has honestly serve as a great space for us to put stuff on. We actually didn’t use it as much to put tools on, as it requires us bending down, which is ergonomic problem. But it serves really well as a portable shelving unit. The space in the middle works really well, and is perfect size for us to put boxes in.

What could be done better

After using it, I realised that we don’t actually need the pegboard on the size. Though it was a novel idea, it had become a bit useless once built. But I guess I will have never found that out unless it is built.

Also the elbow joint could be replaced with metal, to free up the space in the middle and on the side to put stuff on. Metal joint would also last longer be more aesthetically pleasing and easier to make.
